KofKaN PowerMonitor
Smart industrial power monitoring system
Overview
PowerMonitor is our electrical monitoring platform: metering hardware installed in the distribution board, paired with a gateway and a dashboard that makes consumption legible. It measures the parameters an electrical engineer actually acts on — per-phase voltage and current, real and apparent power, energy totals, frequency and power factor — and keeps a history so load behaviour can be compared week to week. The intent is practical energy management for sites that cannot justify a full SCADA installation.
System capabilities
Multi-parameter measurement
Voltage, current, active and apparent power, energy, frequency and power factor per phase.
Non-invasive CT sensing
Split-core current transformers clamp onto existing conductors, so installation does not interrupt supply.
Load profiling
Energy accumulated over configurable intervals to expose baseline load, peaks and standby consumption.
Threshold alerting
Configurable limits on demand, imbalance and power factor with notifications to the responsible operator.
Isolated front end
Measurement and logic domains are separated so the monitoring layer never compromises electrical safety.
Historical trends
Stored series for week-on-week comparison and for supporting tariff or efficiency decisions.
How it works
- 01CTs and voltage taps sample the incoming and outgoing circuits
- 02Metering front end computes RMS, power and energy values
- 03Controller publishes readings over Modbus or MQTT
- 04Gateway forwards telemetry to the monitoring service
- 05Dashboard shows live parameters, trends and alerts
Applications
- Industrial facilities
- Telecom sites
- Commercial buildings
- Workshops
- Energy management programmes
